Something different with Simple Stories Summer Fresh

I love the June sketch at Sketches with a Twist and luckily they provided a tutorial as well! This was one layout that nearly didn't even get a photo or a title on it - I love the background so much. The twist is to use fabric on the layout, and I have fabric on the denim flower and the covered button.

Here is the sketch:

These "cathedral windows" are not nearly as hard as I thought (or they look), check out the tutorial here and give it a go.Great way to use up smaller scraps of double sided patterned paper, too.

I am loving the colours and patterns in the Simple Stories Summer Fresh range too, just beautiful. This was one great kit from My Scrapbook Nook (as always!).

  6. I am really loving your take on this month's sketch! The inclusion of the paper strips and photo in one corner change it up fabulously and all your fun papers and colors pop beautifully off the black background. Thanks so much for joining us at Sketches with a Twist this month.
