December Daily wrap up for 2013

I just loved doing this project completely digitally this year. Made it so much quicker and simpler for me, otherwise this never would have happened during this crazy time. Here are the last few pages:

Day 24 - Happy Christmas Eve!

Day 25, page 1

Day 25, page 2

And finally Page 26 (I finished on Boxing Day as we had another family celebration that I wanted to include).

December Daily, days 14 & 15

Slowly warming up here, getting set for a very HOT end of week. Here are days 14 & 15:

December Daily, Day 13

And just like that we are over half way! Friday the 13th (der der deeeeeeer) was school concert day, one of my favourite school events for the year. The girls and the rest of the school put on a fabulous performance of Cinderella and Rockerfella and we were very proud of them all.

December Daily, Day 12

Finally got some photos of them opening their books at night. Our "advent calendar" is a book opening each night in December up until Christmas - mostly with old Christmas books but with one or two new ones thrown in there to keep it interesting.

December Daily, Day 10 & Day 11

Here is day 10 - you know, it was actually day 11 but I have two "subjects" for day 11 so I spread them out! Liking the way this not being exact is working out. Although technically we are currently into Summer, the weather is actually feeling more like winter to me. But the pool is open, so that means the girls simply MUST swim - so swim they did. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
And Day 11 - this one I think is one of my favourites so far. Christmas cooking, what more can I say!

December Daily, day 9

Just some shots of the girls writing out their Christmas cards for the kids at school. Love all their little drawings on each one!

December Daily, Day 8

Hmmm...so I think I may have missed another day. Oh well, here is day 8 featuring lots and lots of photos.

An interesting mix of pics, mostly of the girls having fun under the sprinkler as it was HOT, but also a cute little message on the chalkboard in the bank, and Kiara's knee from her little accident on the trampoline - I think the trampoline mat actually came off second best thankfully.

December Daily 2013, Day 5

Yep, I went back and did it. Now this is actually NOT a photo from December 5, but this is how the whole December Not Quite So Daily works for me - it will not matter in a year (or even next month) if this photo wasn't taken on the exact day, nobody will even remember.

December Daily 2013, Day 6

And yes, I know I have missed Day 5. That's what happens when you are working and nothing of interest happens that day. I may go back and fill it in, or then again I may not. Either way, I am not fussed!

Here is day 6 - teaching the kids at school Christmas cards. A great afternoon.

December Daily for 2013

I really wasn't going to do anything extra for a December Daily this year, I was just going to add it all into my Project Life like last year....until we pulled out the decorations box and found all the December {not quite so} Daily's from years past. And the girls were so excited and interested to look back that I thought I will do it, but go simple and digital and then get the book printed sometime throughout the year when I find a good special.

So here we go, all using Ali Edwards templates and brushes:

December at Lime Tart

The kits are gorgeous for December at Lime Tart. I have had a little play with the Half Tart and am up on the Zest Blog today showing this layout:

I am just loving the colours in this kit, and also the border paper and the veneer pieces and the tickets .... and, well you had better check it out for yourself!

October pages for Lime Tart

Long time, no post - sorry about that. I received a Slice of Life kit from Lime Tart to play with for October, and here are my pages:

Firstly an insert for a "spring" feature in my Project Life album. Loving the colours and gorgeous photos of the garden in this one. Also love a chance to use up some stamps on my pages.

The back of the insert, featuring some classic photos of Kiara on the trampoline, particularly loving the one of her in the middle that looks like she is sitting on the garage roof!

And finally a Project Life style layout featuring Miss Alexa, because I got into trouble for not doing an insert with her - can't win!!
This layout will be up as a "step by step" on the Zest Blog soon, so keep an eye out for that one if you are interested.

Ahhh scrapping...how I have missed thee

Seems to be exceptionally busy times at the moment, between school holidays, working, doctor appointments, catering (oh and a little bit of housework and cooking etc) - there is not a lot of time left for bank scrap time. I did get a little bit of time last weekend to play along at the Savvy Cybercrop and managed to get three, all very different, layouts completed.

First up was the challenge where I am sure Sar was trying to make me do something messy...well, I sure showed her! I commented that I think this may very well be the cleanest messy layout ever completed. But it has all the components required - I painted the chipboard and stamped (with very messy ink, you know) the title! Love this photo I got of everyone at Broadbeach.

And from one extreme to the other, I took lots of inspiration from the quote challenge picture and made my own quote - complete with mixed media background and my own handwriting (albeit based heavily on the picture of the quote supplied).

And finally a simple layout of Alexa with our helmet. What more could we want?!?

Kraft it up layout for September

I love the Page Maps sketches and the September challenge for Kraft It Up is certainly no exception. Here is my layout based on the sketch:

Stamping your own title card

Today on the Zest Blog I have a step by step up on how to create your very own stamped title card for pocket page scrapbooking using the funky stamp and chalkboard labels from the Slice Of Life aqua kit from Lime Tart.

A stampin' Savvy sketch

Gee it feels like Friday here to me - I usually work Thursday but as it is school holidays am having an extra day off. And the girls have gone farming so I am home alone! What better to do than procraftinate and do some scrapping instead of cleaning (not much of a competition there, really). The September sketch at Savvy is a great one, and it just so happens I have lots and lots and lots of fabbo photos from a recent holiday to scrap.

I made really good use of some of my favourite stamps by Kellie Stamps (KS, formerly known as Give A Girl A ... Stamp) in my journalling, and I love the way it has turned out. Expect to see more of this soon!

Project Life Week 35

And so the PL catch up continues...on to Week 35.

Favourite things this week - Family Rules by Kiara (priceless!!). And some rare photos of family members from our Father's Day get together at Daylesford. A couple of shots of some cute twins never go astray either!

A Project Life catch up...

Whooops. Seems like my Project Life updates have not made it to the blog...yet. I won't load them all at once, but here goes with where we left off which I think is Week 34. All four of these pages I made using the gorgeous Aqua Slice Of Life kit from Lime Tart - which is just fantastic and includes a 12x12" album as well! I had lots of photos this week thanks to Book Week Parade and School Sports, so managed an extra double insert as well as the normal weekly double spread.

More to come soon - including some holiday pages!

Slice of Life scrapping

The Slice Of Life pocket page scrapbooking kits from Lime Tart were sooooo popular most sold out really quickly - there are still a few left so check them out. The rest will be restocked so keep an eye on the store.

It has been really hectic and crazy around here lately, so not much scrappy time to be had in the bank - we did have a fantastic week away at the Gold Coast so will have some great photos to be Project Lifed and scrapped soon (hopefully!!).

I have a post up on the Zest blog today showing one of my latest pocket pages, would love for you to pop over and check it out!

Slice of Life at Lime Tart

New in to the Lime Tart is kits specific to pocket page scrapbooking. They are called Slice Of Life and can be found in the store here. I have had a play with the aqua colour way and I must say it is absolutely gorgeous. The kits come with a full size 12x12 Sn@p album which is really great quality.

You can see more on the Zest blog today, but here is a little snippet:

Project Life with Lime Tart

The Full Tart over at Lime Tart just screamed Project Life to me, and I completed an insert for Week 33 to showcase some of the fantastic products that can be used in Project Life.

The girls requested a mini photoshoot the other Sunday, so who was I to argue! It was fairly sunny and therefore a little difficult to get good photos without a lot of shadows, but we had fun anyway.

Love the Kraft 3x4 punch outs that come in the Full Tart kit, they are ideal for simply slipping in a gorgeous photo and your pocket is done.

And the other side of my insert:

I am really happy with the way this insert has finished up, and it was a great way to make use of all the smaller odds and ends that are left after completing a 12x12 layout. Using up these bits on a Project Life spread means you get even more value out of the kit, as not even one tiny piece of paper/doiley/etc is left on the desk!

Pop on over to the Zest blog to see more!
