Project Life Week 5-10

And the final instalment of my backlog of Project Life...only two more weeks after this and everything is up to date, although I won't be showing the last two weeks for a while as I have a special surprise that I can't reveal yet!! How exciting!!

Week 5:
I have done a bit of blurring on this one as it shows children other than my own, so I have blurred for privacy.

Week 6:
You know it's a quiet week on the photo front when there is only one page, and even then there are 6x4 fillers, and a recipe included!

Week 7:
I am loving the mix of photos and colours in this one...

Week 8:

Week 9:

And finally Week 10:

Just some observations on the Project Life process thus far...I go much better photo taking when my Project Life is up to date. I am currently a couple of weeks behind, and haven't been taking many pics. I need to get back on track, get my Week in Review's done before I forget what has happened, and GET TAKING PICTURES!

I love the photo collage templates that I am using by Cathy Zielske and Ali Edwards, they allow more pics to be shown without overpowering the page. I love my own handwriting font (that I got through Jessica Sprague) as it makes it look that much neater, but still includes my own personal touch.

I need to leave more "white space" on my layouts I think...gives the eye a spot to rest and is a great spot to include more stamping. I must get me some of the blank or grid journalling cards to take more advantage of this.

March Kraft it up...sketch challenge

I love the sketches from Scrap Friends, and the March challenge at Kraft It Up is just that! Here is my take on it:

Always manage to get good photos after Alexa has her face painted at the Friday night markets at Warrnambool. It is her favourite thing about the markets, and we always have to make sure we go straight to the face painters tent.

A Project Life catch up

So I am actually up to date with Project Life - yes, even Week 10 is done and dusted. Have just been a little slack with the whole blogging of the Project Life thingo! Well that is about to be rectified...here goes although I will break the posts up as otherwise it would be photo overload.

Week Three and Four - lots of inserts due to being on summer holidays! Love adding the different sized and format page protectors when there is more story to tell. I didn't want to leave out any of these fantastic holiday memories and photos.

Every day is like the weekend...

Well, it is when you are on holidays! Seems like such a long time ago now though...

The March challenge at Once Upon A...Sketch is "It's the weekend" and I used the sketch to come up with this:

As seems to happen to me every time I complete a challenge for Once Upon A...Sketch, I am not too sure how close to the sketch my layout ended up, but perhaps that is the beauty of working with the sketch - it is a starting point for you to put your own spin on!

I even got out some old rub ons to use on this one, I thought they went well with the funky photo I took of Tom and Alexa walking through the tunnel at Warrnambool earlier this year. A bit different for me, but I like it just the same!

Just one photo

I found a new challenge blog called Scrap Your Story and their challenge is a nice and simple one - scrap a layout with just one photo. Okay!

Been practising with some different manual settings on the camera, so have lots of shots of the girls doing "normal" things. Love the clean, straight lines, white space...no need for ink splatters or paint drops here!
