CTMH Australasian Blog Hop - November Stamp Of The Month

Hello and welcome aboard our Close To My Heart November 2015 Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Meryl's blog Mez's Craft Room , then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post

The November Stamp Of The Month "Cheers, 2016" is just perfect to start all those New Year and celebration projects! Here is what you get - isn't it just fabulous!

When I saw this stamp I immediately thought the images are perfect for Project Life (or whatever you like to call your version of pocket scrapbooking). I have been doing Project Life now for 7 years - and this will be THE most organised I have ever been, completing my cover page in October the previous year!

I have made some pocket cards by using the Cricut cartridge Artfully Sent which has a whole button feature of pocket cards.

Here is my cover page for 2016:

I have also used some of the gorgeous transparent Picture My Life Overlays in black and gold, and some of my favourite cards from the Beautiful You set which include some hints of gold which I just love.  The January card in the top right is from the Through The Years set. One of the great things about these Picture My Life cards is that they are co-ordinate so well together, and I also love that there are NO REPEATS throughout the set, so you have a great variety to choose from. The same design is featured on both sides of the card, however, so you have the flexibility of going with horizontal or vertical design. Perfect!

When it comes around to January, I may just swap out some of the overlays for photos, we will if I can manage a good family photo to slot in there!

And some of the individual cards:

I love the whimsy of the font of the 2016, so thought I would go with some brights for the start of the year. To get the alternating colours on the bunting flags, I stamped it straight onto the pocket card in one colour, then stamped on a scrap piece of card with the other. Then I trimmed out the individual triangle flags on the scrap piece and adhered them over the top of the first. I really like how this turned out, giving it that bit extra pop of colour.

This one will end up with a photo in there, come January 2016. Maybe of New Year's Eve celebrations?

And finally a spot for some journalling. I love the journalling lines stamp in this set, and can imagine me using it a lot throughout the year to quickly add some lines for hand journalling on cards. I also love the fonts that are coming through on the new stamps - here I combined a "Happy" from a previous set as well.

Don't forget the November Stamp Of The Month "Cheers 2016" is only available throughout November 2015 from your Close To My Heart Independent Consultant for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.
