September specials

So many exciting new things happening in the Close To My Heart world around this time of year.

My favourite for September is the card making kit that is available for this month only! I have only just started to play with it, and the cards themselves are super easy to put together, and the stamp set that is included is super versatile with soooo many flower options. Of course, you can think outside the square and use whatever stamps you like, and that pop of gold makes everything look good.

For more information on this special and even an opportunity to get the kit for FREE, check out the details here.

I have done a few different samples, but my camera battery is dead flat so can't get some nice pictures just yet, stay tuned and they will appear in the next few days.

Also, there is a new Annual Inspirations catalogue for 2017/2018.  Always a dangerous time for the crafting budget.

And if that is not enough, the new Holiday Expressions is out, too.  I just love the Christmas collections this year, more of these will be appearing shortly too.

To check out both new catalogues, click here.

What have I missed? Oh yes, the September Stamp Of The Month which can be yours for only $7.50 with a qualifying order.  For more details you can read here.  Although we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia it's certainly not a bad idea to let others know how grateful you are for them and this is the perfect stamp set to use for those.

CTMH Aust/NZ Blog Hop - Some Kinda Wonderful

Hello and welcome!  Maybe you have hopped on over from Kara's blog. If not, you can simply start here and move around the blog circle.

It is such a long time since I have joined in our Australasian Blog Hop for Close To My Heart, and I have missed it.  So here I am back again, with one of my favourite ever paper packets, Some Kinda

I have been having a great time playing with this range, you can see the full range of products in the Some Kinda Wonderful suite here.  I have really only used the patterned paper packet and the card making stamp set/Thin Cuts bundle, but do check out the coordinating cardstock, complements and black and white dots as well.

For today though, I have saved a couple of my favourite cards for you.

Firstly my cute little turtle with his party hat on. If I were to make this card again, I would actually reverse the pattern and have the turtle facing INTO the page, however, originally I intended the fox to feature on this card - then one I had the idea of popping on a party hat (from an older stamp set) and it didn't fit on Mr Fox, one thing led to another, and I ended up with Mr Turtle instead.  I already had the rest of the pieces adhered down, so I just went with it!

The Make a Wish stamp is from an older set as well, I just thought the funky mix of fonts went well with this card.

I have made a resolution to use up all my pieces of paper (yeah, right!!), so have decorated both the inside of the card with a strip, and the flap of the envelope as well.  A nice way to finish off a card, I think.  And use up all those bits of paper, then I will need to buy some more!

For my second card I chose the birdie, and cut him out using the Thin Cuts that go with the stamp set.  Man, these are the best invention ever! I love how I can just whip a few through on a piece of white cardstock, then I have lots of options when it comes to making up the cards.  These little critters were all coloured with the Shin Han markers, which make even me look like an okay colourer!

Another great tip when using the paper packets is to keep all the Zip Strips when you trim them from the main 12x12 sheet of paper.  The little banners on this card are from the zip strips, and the smaller scale patterns are perfect to use on cards.

Thank you so much for visiting and checking out my cards using Some Kinda Wonderful. A reminder that these products, and everything else from the Seasonal Expressions 1 Catalogue are only available until the end of April (or until stocks run out), so don't miss out if you have your eye on something.

Next stop on the blog hop is Maz Wood at aMAZing Close To My Heart Creations, so go on over and check out some more gorgeousness using Some Kinda Wonderful.

Some more sweet Sugar Rush

Still playing catch up, here are some more cards from the cute Sugar Rush collection.  I love to buy the paper packets, they are not expensive and you get SOOOOO many cards out of one packet.

I used the Sugar Rush Cardmaking with Thin Cuts Bundle for these stamps, get in quick to get 25% off until the end of March.

And here are some more Sugar Rush cards:

The Sugar Rush dots just add that little extra to the cards, and being self adhesive are so quick to pop on.

Must blog more, must blog more, must blog more...

I really, truly promise I will try! I have so many cute cards and projects to show, but blogging just seems to take a back seat to other things.  However, expect that to change.  Hopefully.

The featured paper collection way back in January was Sugar Rush.  The colours and patterns in this collection are super girly, although it is amazing if you look at the back sides (tee hee, backsides!!) how you can see this range in a totally different light.

These couple of cards are pure and simple CASE's of cards in the Seasonal Expressions 1 Catalogue. No artistic creativity shown here at all!

Just a quick reminder that Seasonal Expressions 1 finishes up at the end of April - so if you do see anything you cannot simply live without you had better get in quick before they're all gone.

Also, another heads up - all Thin Cuts are on special until the end of March - so that is even less time.  I used the Sugar Rush Cardmaking Stamp and Thin Cuts Bundle for these sets of cards, makes cutting out those pesky donuts super easy.  And the banner is so versatile, it has been used many times already.
